Author Guidelines

Authors require being registered with Eidos web site before submission. People who have been previously registered as authors, just log in to begin the submission process though five steps. Please, confirm first the manuscript preparation guide provided below, and next read the Copyright noticeEidos does not charge any submission fee.
Eidos has adopted the APA Style (Sixth Edition) as the standard system for citing print and electronic sources used in the writing of submitted papers. Below the instructions according to the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (Sixth edition) are given. Helpful information may be found at APA Reference Style.

Important Notice: Please include the Digital Object Identifier (DOI) in the References if one has been assigned.

Preparation: All submitted papers will be subjected to a double blind review prior to acceptance. Authors may be required to revise their papers before being published, and the right to decline a paper for publication is reserved to the Editor. Eidos receives papers written mainly in Spanish and, English. Eventually paper written in German, French and Italian are also accepted. Manuscripts should not exceed 9500 words in length, references and notes included, and all documents should be processed in MS Word 2003-2010. The following directives are suggested just as a general guideline for preparation of your submission. Papers should not be longer than 9500 words.

Paper sheet design: The submitted file should be in MS Word 2003-2010. Page: Letter size, number all pages consecutively. Font: Times New Roman 12 pt. Spacing: 1,5. Margins: 3 cm. all top, bottom, left, and right.

Structure: Proceed according to the following structure to present your paper. (1) Title (spanish and english), Author(s), Affiliations, Email. (2) Abstract (spanish and english): A précis of your paper in between 130 and 170 words, describing in a single paragraph the stating goals and scope of your paper, as well as the conclusions. The abstract should not contain any undefined abbreviations or unspecified references. (3) Keywords (spanish and english): Please provide 5 to 7 keywords which can be used for indexing purposes. (4) Main body of the text (6000-9500 including abstracts and keywords). (5) The reference list must have at least 15 items. (6) Acknowledgements should be place in the first footnote (not numbered).

Bibliographical references and citations: It is mandatory to use the APA sixth edition for citations and bibliographical references.

Important: in case the article or book mentioned in the bibliography has the DOi code, it must be specified.

Proofs: Correspondence and proofs for checking will be sent to the first named author or the nominated principal contact; this can be selected during the online submission process. Proofs are sent via email in PDF format, and corrections should be returned within two weeks to the publisher. Only typesetting changes and minor changes or slightly corrections are accepted from authors at proof checking stage. Should comment for proofs not be returned within two weeks, it will be assumed that there are no corrections.

 

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration; or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor.
  2. The submission file is in Microsoft Word. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  3. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Peer Review Process have been followed.

Authors who publish with this journal agree to the following terms:

1. The Author retains copyright in the Work, where the term "Work" shall include all digital objects that may result in subsequent electronic publication or distribution.
