Case of women’s enterprises in the handicraft sector in Sucre (Colombia) 2024-06-13T17:41:57+00:00 Diana Esther Álvarez Contreras diana_alvarezcon@cun.edu.co Erika Astrid Araque Geney erika_araque@cun.edu.co
The main objective was to develop a strategic management model that allows business strengthening in the female entrepreneurship of the handicraft sector prioritized in the competitiveness route of the department of Sucre. With a quantitative methodology and a propositive and descriptive design, a strategic management model is proposed to support the effective management of artisan businesses. The main result shows that the strategic management model comprises 4 phases: diagnosis, formulation, execution, and control. The model is based on the needs evidenced in the female enterprises of the handicraft sector and on the theoretical models of strategic management. It is
concluded that strategic management, as a model of organizational strengthening is decisive in the orientation and cohesion of actions to optimize
the internal and external activities of the company. Likewise, it favors an effective exercise in the administrative, technical, productive, and commercial processes necessary for business.
2024-10-29T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Revista científica Pensamiento y Gestión https://rcientificas.uninorte.edu.co/index.php/pensamiento/article/view/15656 Does work-family balance affect job satisfaction and organizational commitment? 2023-05-11T20:46:58+00:00 María Margarita Chiang Vega mchiang@ubiobio.cl Maicol Sáez maisaez@egresados.ubiobio.cl María José Rivera Cerda mjrivera@egresados.ubiobio.cl Juan Pablo Hidalgo Ortiz jhidalgo@ubiobio.cl
The objective of this research is to analyze the work-family reconciliation variable and how it affects job satisfaction and organizational commitment in a sample of 197 workers from the Concepción Health Service Department (Chile). Regarding the statistical analysis, the descriptive analyzes of the sociodemographic variables and the organizational behavior variables under study were carried out. Then, the structural equation models were elaborated, which will allow us to analyze hypotheses of cause-effect relationships, being in this study the work-family the reconciliation is the independent variable, and the rest the dependent variables. Among the results, it is highlighted that the work family reconciliation explains almost 70% of the variability of job satisfaction, which means that the perception that employees have of the benefits provided by the company contributes strongly to better job satisfaction.
2024-10-29T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Revista científica Pensamiento y Gestión https://rcientificas.uninorte.edu.co/index.php/pensamiento/article/view/16370 Organizational climate and its incidence on service quality in a south Colombian public entity 2024-06-20T00:12:10+00:00 Juan Manuel Andrade Navia juanmanuel.andrade@usco.edu.co Francisco Luis Castro francisco.castro@usco.edu.co Ivonne Yamile Martínez ivonne.martinez@usco.edu.co
The objective of this study was to measure the organizational climate of a government entity and its relationship with service quality. The research was quantitative and correlational in nature, using the census as a sampling type and applying the instrument to a population sample of 221 employees. For the organizational “climate variable”, the model proposed by Álvarez (1995) was used, which has 24 dimensions, while for the “service quality” variable, the proposal by the Latin American Center for Development Administration (CLAD, 2008) was used, which has 6 dimensions. Given the results, it stands out that a significant and positive relationship was found between the variables analyzed. Likewise, the reliability levels of the instruments were acceptable. The organizational climate variable addressed was perceived as positive by 68.81 % of those surveyed, while the service quality variable obtained a favorability of 77.88 %.
2024-10-29T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Revista científica Pensamiento y Gestión https://rcientificas.uninorte.edu.co/index.php/pensamiento/article/view/16463 Materialism, impulse buying and debt: A study with consumers at the bottom of the pyramid 2024-03-08T19:03:25+00:00 Andressa Hennig Silva andressasilva@unipampa.edu.br Jaiane Dos Santos Azevedo jaianes.azevedo@gmail.com Mikaela Daiane Prestes Floriano mikaelapfloriano@gmail.com
This study aimed to analyze the impact of materialism and impulse buying on the propensity for indebtedness among bottom-of-the-pyramid consumers. A quantitative, descriptive survey was conducted with 202 respondents from this socioeconomic group. The main findings indicate that materialism significantly impacts impulse buying, and two of its dimensions directly influence the propensity for indebtedness. These results reinforce the understanding that the level of materialism can be linked to impulsivity and indebtedness among bottom-of-the-pyramid individuals.
2024-10-29T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Revista científica Pensamiento y Gestión https://rcientificas.uninorte.edu.co/index.php/pensamiento/article/view/16513 Opportunities and challenges for the digitalization of msmes in Colombia 2024-04-04T19:21:42+00:00 Jaime Enrique Sarmiento Suárez jaime.sarmientos@upb.edu.co Elsa Beatriz Gutiérrez Navas elsa.gutierrez@upb.edu.co Julio César Ramírez Montañez julio.ramirez@upb.edu.co
In recent years, digital transformation has become an opportunity for Micro, Small, and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs) to enhance their competitiveness and adapt to an increasingly digitized business environment. This study aimed to analyze the degree of digitalization and the level of digital maturity of Colombian MSMEs, as well as to understand the factors that promote or hinder their digitalization. Information was collected from 3708 companies of various sizes and sectors. The study revealed that Colombian MSMEs have a low level of digital maturity in basic technologies, primarily adopting social networks, digital banking, and commercial websites. Similarly, there is a very low level of maturity in advanced technologies, with the implementation of ERPs and technologies such as Localization and the Internet of Things being highlighted. Medium-sized companies and those in the service sector stand out in the adoption of digital technologies. Awareness of the possibilities and advantages of digitization, along with training for executives in these areas, are among the most widely implemented digitization strategies by the studied companies. Noteworthy barriers to digitization in these enterprises include insufficient broadband connectivity, high investment costs, and a shortage of financial resources.
2024-10-29T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Revista científica Pensamiento y Gestión
