Transfer of knowledge in the aerospace industry: the case of bombardier aerospace, Queretaro

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to transfer knowledge to the production of structural components of two aircraft models: the Q 400 and Global Express, Bombardier Aerospace company Querétaro. Bombardier Aerospace, is a pioneer in the aviation sector in Mexico, world's third largest civil aircraft manufacturer. In 2005, México decided to invest in Bombardier Aerospace of México creating S.A. Ltd., to transfer production lines and Japan Toronto to Queretaro. Interest in this research is to analyze and describe the transfer of knowledge for the production of structural components of the two aircraft models, under different results were obtained at the level of productivity and external factors that influenced the transfer knowledge. The literature that can provide the foundations for the development and achievement of the objective of this research are: learning and knowledge transfer.
