Abstract

The goal of this investigation was to investigate the existence of gender differences in the life skills analyzed; to explore the relations between them, and identify the predictors of empathy in 124 school adolescents (male and female) residing in the City of Córdoba (Argentina). The ANOVA shows gender differences in some variables. Women show more anxiety-shyness, empathy, social self-concept and submissive / passive behavior. The correlation analysis indicates significant relationships between the different variables. Finally multiple regression analysis identified as predictive of empathy behavior, consideration for others, social self-concept, aggressive behavior and academic self-concept.
