Regional integration processes in Latin America: A political approach

This article addresses the issue of regional integration in Latin America from a political perspective basing the research in the categories of analysis proposed by the neo-functionalist theory. Integration is analyzed as a process itself, the relevance of the concept of region under these circumstances, followed by a historical development of integration processes in Latin America from the 50's to present day, finding factors that have influenced the stagnation of these initiatives. 5. That such authorization is granted for free.
6. The moral rights of the author on the article correspond exclusively to the AUTHOR, in virtue of which, the Universidad del Norte agrees to expressly and rigorously recognize and respect them.
