This article has as aim do an approximation from explanatory theories of the organized crime, to way and ends used by the paramilitarismo, more specifically by the Front Jose Paul Díaz of the Block North of the Close Self-defenses of Colombia in Barranquilla's city. Also one seeks to demonstrate that the presence of the paramilitarismo in Barranquilla's city, counter insurgent did not obey a strategy but his narrow links with the drug trafficking and the organized crime.
