Regiones para vivir. Índice Sintético de Calidad de Vida Departamental

Este trabajo presenta el diseño y cálculo del Índice Sintético de Calidad de Vida (ISCV) para 23 departamentos colombianos en 2016, a partir de la metodología de Análisis de Componentes Principales. Los resultados evidencian la gran heterogeneidad de condiciones de entorno entre los departamentos colombianos y permiten orientar y priorizar programas y políticas públicas que podrían contribuir de forma más efectiva a mejorar la calidad de vida en cada región. En términos del Índice, Cundinamarca, Valle del Cauca y Atlántico ocupan las primeras posiciones, demostrando que los habitantes de estos departamentos pueden disfrutar de mejores condiciones de vida.Publicado
