Heterogeneidad productiva y desigualdad en el Ecuador

Este trabajo se basa en el concepto de heterogeneidad estructural propuesto por Cepal y desarrolla el vínculo existente entre la heterogeneidad productiva y la desigual distribución del ingreso para el caso de Ecuador con el objetivo principal de conocer en qué porcentaje esta última se explica por las diferencias en los ingresos entre estratos productivos. El principal resultado muestra que la desigualdad a partir de las diferencias de los ingresos entre estratos productivos se ha incrementado significativamente en las dos últimas décadas, pues si en 1990 se le atribuía el 6% de la diferencia en los ingresos laborales de los ocupados, justifica el 19% de dicha desigualdad en 2009.
