Crecimiento económico y desarrollo humano en Colombia (2000 – 2010)

En esta investigación se presenta una descripción y análisis del Producto Interno Bruto (PIB) y del comportamiento de los indicadores de desigualdad, nivel de vida y pobreza. En ese sentido, se realiza un análisis que permite determinar el impacto que genera el crecimiento del PIB sobre el desarrollo humano en Colombia, durante el periodo comprendido entre el 2000 y 2010.
Los resultados obtenidos en la investigación demuestran que durante la década, el crecimiento del PIB no reflejó disminución de la pobreza en la misma proporción, evidenciando así, que la desigualdad persiste y que a pesar de las reducciones, las cifras se encuentran por encima del promedio de América Latina.
