Urbanización y compromiso comunitario: cinco estudios de caso sobre infraestructura social en educación y salud

El presente documento caracteriza y evalúa la accesibilidad geográfica de los proyectos de vivienda de interés social gratuita (VIS gratuita) y para ahorradores (VIPA) a los equipamientos urbanos en salud y educación públicas en cinco ciudades: Barranquilla, Soledad, Malambo, Valledupar y Soacha. Se utilizan cuatro indicadores de accesibilidad de acuerdo con la literatura internacional: la distancia promedio, la distancia mínima y la cantidad y porcentaje de equipamientos en radios de dos y cuatro kilómetros. Como resultado se encuentra que la accesibilidad geográfica es baja en relación a algunos estándares internacionales, principalmente para el caso de la salud. Además, las viviendas gratuitas registraron una menor accesibilidad que las destinadas a ahorradores en la mayoría de los proyectos analizados.
