Abstract

This paper aims to find out sufficient conditions for implying structural change. It examines experiences of South Korea and Colombia around late industrialization to comparative purposes before and after economic openness, through two periods: 1960-1990 and 1991-2007. It shows that quality of state’s institutions and corporate governance systems, allows carry out successful structural change.
