Modelling the development process of products in metal-mechanical enterprises of Barranquilla under the perspective of recurrent engineering
Abstract
AbstractThis article was prepared in order to show generalities about partial results
obtained on the research ColCiencias – UniNorte, which has been addressed by
Carmenza Luna Maya, titled “Design of Product Process Development (PPD)
at Metal mechanical Industry in Barranquilla, within the context of Concurrent
Engineering (CE). It will be shown a brief description about those tools on which PPD modeling
has been based, not only graphically but conceptually and also aiming at
obtaining a characterization as close as possible to general, actual conditions,
according to CE’s areas of interest setting them on five groups: Organization,
Human Resources, Information, Technology and Marketing. In the same way,
they’re oriented towards evaluating the level of Manager’s support, multidisciplinary
group work and the use of
technological resources. Those general
terms are the result of actual PPD conditions on five (5) enterprises at Metal
mechanical Industry in the city, checking the same list of points for each one of
them, for posterior analysis
This work is part of the projects developed by Productivity and Competitivity
Group, specifically in its Concurrent Engineering line with the purpose of
studying, socializing and showing CE as a philosophy at enterprise level.
