Abstract

The present state of the art establishes the basis for studying differentmechanisms to provide end-to-end Quality of Service on a network overthe IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS). Unlike traditional networks whichensure QoS individually depending on the service provided, IMS seeksthe convergence of fixed and mobile services with Quality of Servicethrough a set of policies defined by operators and Service Level Agreementsestablished with their users.
