Abstract

The essential objective of this document is to show the most significant aspects of the book entitled Anthropology: Why It Matters by Tim Ingold. To this end, the five chapters are explored, described and interpreted analytically. It is concluded that the text is a novel, radical, holistic, original and critical contribution to the anthropological panorama. In this sense, it is useful to intuit the conditions of possibility of the human, that is, the search for cultural, sociopolitical, environmental and humanistic diversity. On the other hand, the prolix and suggestive nature of the author's theoretical projective framework constitutes an attractive vision established in a panoramic archetype of anthropology and its pragmatic work. Therefore, this book is very useful for undergraduate and graduate students.
