Beliefs about happiness scale into adult population in the city of Bucaramanga (Colombia)

The objective of this non-experimental-cross sectional-correlational study was to validate a Likert Scale on beliefs about happiness into a group of 600 adults in the city of Bucaramanga (Colombia). The varimax rotation showed a nine factors solution, explaining the 92% of variance among 47items. The whole scale presented a total alpha Crombach ? = 88, and each factor between: 0.88 ? ? ? 0.78. The correlations item-factor were high: r= (0.53 – 0.71) and those item-test: r= (0.59-0.70). the correlation with age was r=-0.136, with p<0.57 as well as the economical strata p<0.53.there were no differences found in the means by gender (96.11); women (94.20);p=0.0343).References
