Abstract

This article aims to deepen the ontological sense of freedom in Being and Nothingness by Jean-Paul Sartre. Thus intentionality uses the for-itself as a desire to integrate into being, ie, recovering and preserving the tension between freedom and conscious of Nothing and Being. Although useless passion for-itself is presented as a defeat of freedom, it is necessary to recover the ontological character of their actions.
