This article presents the design and implementation of a digital Kanban system based on Internet of Things (IoT) technologies, applied to a simulated plastic parts assembly process. The main objective was to optimize operational efficiency, reduce idle times, and improve real-time inventory management. To achieve this, a comparison was made between the traditional Kanban card system and a digital version based on barcodes and mobile scanning devices. Both processes were modeled using FlexSim software, allowing for quantitative evaluation of indicators such as cycle times, idle time, and units produced per shift. The results show a 21.8% reduction in idle times and a 23.4% increase in total production, demonstrating the potential of this technological integration. Finally, the limitations of the proposed approach are discussed, and future directions for validation in real industrial contexts are suggested.
