Seguridad democrática y desarrollo en el Caribe

This article explores the relation between development and security in the Caribbean region. The thesis is supported on the idea that the situation of each society and the challenges it have to face bring to the concepts different content. From this idea, the author identifies the definitions that rule democratic security policies in the Caribbean and in Colombia, as well as their application in the region.
