Abstract

This article, through the systematization and analysis of Colombian exports and imports, identifies the Colombian companies that boost international trade in the Pacific Alliance. The results describe intra-alliance trade, detail Colombian imports and exports, by company, with Chile, Mexico, and Peru, and characterize Colombian companies with two-way trade flows. The text shows that there is a significant representation of imports of raw materials, supplies, and technology; that 80% of exporting companies are multinationals; that 50 % of exporting companies are concentrated in the hygiene and personal care products industry; and that 70% show deficit in their trade balances.
