Management and design: Convergence disciplinar

Abstract

This article reviews from an analytical perspective the management concept used in the economic and administrative disciplines and the design concept from the humanities and social science fields, in order to identify key aspects to determine the disciplinary convergence between management and design. To this end, the review of national and international publications that include categories of management, design and design management is done theoretically. This reveals that the concept of design management has not been set out earlier from the merger or disciplinary integration, thus enabling the development of a new concept that is structured from this guideline.
