Abstract

In this article, some hypotheses about the relation between women and war are analysed from a psychoanalyst view. Motherhood is highlighted as a basic aspect of women, but that does not constitute an obstacle for most of them to modify their relation to the political - military cause. Nevertheless, the value women have had since ancient times is outlined from Mythology in order to support the historical and social reasons and the conditions of exclusion from power and richness making them to have a greater potential to oppose to war. It is also established that one of the causes of the relation of women to war is the condition they have in our culture, which make them to choose guerrilla or paramilitary life as a life style where they can put limit to the abuse or change their victim status. Key words: Woman, motherhood, war, family, cause.
