Abstract

This work aims to state a reflective analysis of the “multiple intelligences” theory by the psychologist and neurologist Howard Gardner. This proposal breaks with the traditional paradigm of intelligence as an unique and general entity and points out its plurality condition. This new point of view about intelligence allows to recover human condition in relation to its multiple cognition capacities and generates new pedagogical and institutional practices in education. Finally, it also points out the value of the cultural environment in the development of the human intelligence.
