Assessment by portfolio: STRATEGIA MODELLING PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY. A self-critical reflection on the role of mediation

Abstract

This article presents the findings of a self - reflection on the role of the instructor mediation in the understanding and use of portfolio by students as a knowledge self-regulation tool. Starting from a short presentation of portfolio as a tool aiding in the reconstruction of the learning biography, and an initial description of the protagonist methodology, we describe the development of the self-reflection exercise on a critical incident experienced by the author in the co-evaluation of the portfolio. The mediator attitude components are analyzed and then conceptual and action alternatives are presented for the portfolio evaluation.
