Importancia de la salud mental en el ámbito laboral

La salud mental ha cobrado creciente importancia, evidenciando deficiencias en el acceso a atención y apoyo. En el ámbito laboral, el 15% de los adultos tiene un trastorno mental, afectando la productividad y generando pérdidas económicas significativas. Factores como el estrés, la sobrecarga laboral y la falta de apoyo organizacional influyen negativamente en la salud mental de los empleados. No obstante, la inversión en programas de bienestar genera beneficios económicos y mejora el desempeño laboral. Estrategias como la capacitación en liderazgo empático, el apoyo social y políticas organizacionales han demostrado reducir el ausentismo y aumentar la motivación. Las teorías psicológicas respaldan la importancia de entornos laborales saludables. Modelos como el Bienestar Psicológico de Ryff, el Apoyo Social de House y la Autodeterminación de Deci y Ryan destacan la necesidad de autonomía, respaldo y satisfacción psicológica para mejorar el bienestar laboral. Se insta a las organizaciones a adoptar un enfoque proactivo en salud mental, priorizando el bienestar de sus empleados para fortalecer la cultura empresarial y la productividad.
