Milestones Of Molar Perspective from Classical Conditioning

Abstract

In this paper it is reviewed the main historical events in the classical conditioning theory like a psychological phenomenon -behavioral or cognitive-, that is to say since a molar perspective, opposed to a molecular perspective characteristical of neurosciences. It is analyzed the fallowing historical highlights: the Wladimir Bechrerev's reflexological theory, the radical behaviorist perspective (by B. F. Skinner), [he Rescorla- Wagner model (Rescorla & Wagner, 1972), the attentional models (Mackintosh, 1975; Pearce & Hall, 1980); theory, by Allan Wagner (1981; Wagner & Brandon, 1989) based on opponent processes, and finally the theories based on behavioral timing (Galliscel & Gibbon, 2002).
