Parental Roles and Work Out From Home
Abstract
This work presents an analysis of the father and mother roles within the family. This article results from comparing and integrating the investigation processes undertaken with families from Barranquilla, The role of human being in the family is determined by social situations. To contextualize the topic of roles, a special mention of the family is made as one of the main contexts for internalizing and assuming the possible roles which society offers to people. Besides pointing at the main characteristics of the father and mother roles in the family context, the article also exposes the conflicts and tension experienced by its members when living their respective roles when trying to cope with the working and social roles.
