Competence of newly graduates of Bachelor in Psychology

Abstract

Although it is assumed that the formation of the Bachelor of Arts in Psychology is based on academic-professional principles, which are highly appreciated and commonly shared by distinguished academics of the training institutions, to the date, there is insufficient evidence to allow a critical analysis of its use. Important breaches between norms and the reality of the educative supply generated in this sense create serious problems that roust be overcome.

This work approaches curricular evidences, a frame of work and results derived from a line of investigation, developed in Mexico, whose interest has been to provide knowledge about mechanisms responsible for the development of professional skills in the academic formation of the Bachelor in Psychology. It also approaches advances and limitations of what has been done up to now.
