Understanding the experience of anxiety in a student who belongs to a group of artists from the University of North Barranquilla
Abstract
The purpose of this article is to present the results and conclusions of a research that is focused on the understanding of the experience of anxiety in a student who belongs to an artistic group of Universidad del Norte, Barranquilla, Colombia. The final goal was to clarify both, the way that person lives and confronts the experience of anxiety, and the meaning the person gives to that experience. This is a qualitative research based on a phenomenological hermeneutical approach, which is characterized by an understanding of the experience of the person under study from the description and interpretation of his concrete and present experience. In other words, we tried to start from the perspective of the person, trying to find and comprehend the meaning that he gives to his own experience in the specific situation in which he is.
