Keywords:
Anxiety, existential psychoanalysis.Abstract
This research aims at understanding the experience of anxiety from the perspective of the mental health understood according to the theoretical frame of the existential psychoanalysis. It was a single qualitative study case developed with a student of the Universidad de Ibagué - Coruniversitaria. The research topic arose from the different reasons of consultation students have when attending the Psychological Consultant's office in this university. Among those reasons, we found problems in interpersonal relationships, the need of self-knowledge, insecurity and depression. In all of them, in a greater or smaller degree, the experience of anxiety was always present. When reviewing the background knowledge on this topic, we have not found any research developed in this sense, that is trying to detect the meaning the person constructs through the experience of anxiety.Downloads
