EFFECTS OF A PROGRAM OF PEDAGOGICAL INTERVENTION IN COGNITIVE APTITUDES OF A SAMPLE OF STUDENTS

The study aimed to determine the effects of an educational intervention program on cognitive skills of a sample of students in the transition level of Barranquilla and Ciénaga. A pre-experimental design was carried out with a pretest and a posttest of cognitive skills of students in public schools transition belonging to low-income areas. The measurement was performed by the Cognitive Abilities Test, which explores four skills: vocabulary, concepts, quantitative concepts and different concept in children of preschool and primary education. The analysis of results was performed using the Student T Test Statistic. In general the data and statistical analysis obtained by the study indicate that the intervention made in the institutions in Barranquilla and Ciénaga showed positive results in most of the institutions intervened.Downloads
