Abstract

The first part of this paper deals with the life of Fritz Perls, who has been considered one of the main representatives of the Humanistic Approach in Psychology. Second, it analyses, in a clear and precise way, the close relation existing among existential philosophy, phenomenology and Gestalt Therapy proposed by Perls. Besides, the author analyses the theoretical and practical elements of diverse theories and schools of thought which appropriately converge on Perls’ psychotherapeutic model. Key words: Existential Psychology, Gestalt Therapy.
