Resumen

El Inventario de Ansiedad ante la Muerte Revisado (DAI-R) es un instrumento relativamente nuevo para cuantificar la ansiedad ante la muerte en diferentes contextos. Sin embargo, se desconoce la dimensionalidad en la población adulta mayor. El estudio tuvo como objetivo corroborar la dimensionalidad del DAI-R entre adultos mayores colombianos. Metodología. Se realizó un estudio psicométrico con la participación de 100 adultos mayores (M=68,82±4,82; 52% eran de género masculino). Esta escala cuenta con 17 ítems, agrupados en cuatro dimensiones o factores, y un patrón de respuesta dicotómico. La dimensionalidad se probó mediante análisis factorial confirmatorio (AFC) y se calcularon indicadores de bondad de ajuste. Resultados. El AFC mostró indicadores de bondad de ajuste inaceptables y se rechazó la estructura tetradimensional del DAI-R. Conclusiones. El DAI-R tiene una estructura tetradimensional insatisfactoria entre los adultos colombianos. Investigaciones futuras deberían corroborar este hallazgo con un tamaño de muestra mayor.
