Ni humanos, ni animales, ni monstruos: la decolonización del cuerpo transgénero

Resumen

El apetito rapaz de los conquistadores produjo sodomitas Indígenas en Abya Yala. Corrompió también sus entendimientos sobre vitalidad corporal. La violación convirtió una permeabilidad anal, que comunicaba varias formas de lo vital, en un acto de destitución socio-corporal. La permeabilidad carnal Indígena, y su transición, quedó signada como infrahumana. La colonialidad oculta esa condición infrahumana al confundir las movilidades transgéneros con todo tipo de disconformidad corporal. Al considerar la permeabilidad corporal como un índice de disidencia tanto cognitiva como sexual, la modernidad configuró lo transgénero como un vínculo monstruoso entre la (im)permeabilidad y el capacitismo. El legado de la colonialidad fusiona conceptualmente a los cuerpos infra y cuasi-humanos. Para desenredar esa confusión, este ensayo examina la materialidad ancestral de prácticas anales, ritos funerarios, y apariciones y danzas ceremoniales. Este materialismo decolonizante negocia la (im)permeabilidad sobre el puente que se extiende entre, por un lado, las cosmologías Andinas y Mesoamericanas y, por otro, las corporalidades travesti (Argentina) y trans (comunidad latina de EE.UU.). Al introducir el marco de la colonialidad de lo transgénero, el ensayo coloca el pluralismo ontológico en el centro de los debates sobre los materialismos trans*.

Pedro Javier (PJ) DiPietro, Department of Women's and Gender Studies, Syracuse University FLACSO-PRIGEPP (Buenos Aires)

Pedro DiPietro is assistant professor in the department of women’s and gender studies at Syracuse University and an affiliate of Latino and Latin American Studies, Indigenous and Native American Studies, and LGBT Studies. They work at the intersection of decolonial feminisms, women of color thinking, Latinx studies, and transgender studies. They are one of the co-editors of Speaking Face to Face: The Visionary Philosophy of María Lugones and they are at work on a single-author manuscript under the title Sideways Selves, The Decolonizing Politics of Trans* Matter Across the Américas. They also serve as Coordinator of Graduate Studies at PRIGEPP-FLACSO, the Regional Program in Gender, Society, and Politics at Facultad Latinoamericana de las Ciencias Sociales. They collaborate with multiple organizations and collectives committed to social justice, including the Democratizing Knowledge Collective at Syracuse University, the Association for Jotería Arts, Activism, and Scholarship (AJAAS), and the travesti collectives Damas de Hierro and Futuro TransGenérico. In addition to other honors, DiPietro has received a Tinker Foundation Scholarship and an Andrew Mellon Postdoctoral Fellowship in the Humanities at the University of California (Berkeley).
