Abstract

The article aims at discussing some aspects about how Hegel and Heidegger use the term “phenomenology”. The author examines as a first step Heidegger´s reading of Hegel´s texts, and then as a second step indentifies the differences. Therefore it becomes necessary to give a brief introduction about Hegel´s use of “phenomenology”, in order to put it in contrast with Heidegger´s idea of phenomenology, especially starting from his first lectures in Freiburg. In this way we will reveal some elements in order to distinguish the dialectic meaning and the hermeneutic meaning which the term “phenomenology” may bear.
