State and university: from one coast of the Atlantic to the other. [Spanish]

This essay will examine four different university models (the German, the French, the Argentinean and the American) that have guided its development in the course of history paying particular attention to its relation to the State. The aim of this analysis is to question the role of the university within society by looking at different moments of its re-foundation as a means to contribute to current discussions on the model to be adopted in the near future and underline the ideal nature of its character in so far as this one institutes a community of equals.
