Tan lejos de Dios y tan cerca del New York Times: los grandes medios y el conflicto internacional
Keywords:
International conflict, mass media, informative coverageAbstract
In a so complex world, mass media are fundamental sources of information. The quality of the information they offer determines our vision of the world. Nevertheless, mass media continue being banalized and misunderstood. There are no agencies to control the quality of international information, either. When one thinks about how preventing or solving a crisis, the quality of the information and the mediacoverage are rarely taken into account. But it is fundamental that we change this conception. Only based on a solid vision of the conflict from the political economy and history, the easily made (superficial) cultural interpretations can be avoided.
