Training and performance: A case analysis on great manufacturing companies

Abstract

This article addressed from a strategic perspective, aims to characterizethe practice of training and development and to investigate its relationshipwith organizational performance in manufacturing company’sgreat Colombian region, is part of the resource-based theory, a studycontrasting case in six companies, using a qualitative methodologywhich is applied depth interviews with human resources managers. Theconclusion is that from the theoretical to found a strong association betweenthese dimensions and from the observed empirical that the relationshipthe approach depends on the strategic value of training withinorganizations.
