Abstract

The aim of the research is to propose mechanisms to promote the internationalization of cultural businesses in Colombia, based on the analysis of government proposals as strategies for economic promotion and reactivation. The methodology was descriptive -explanatory, with a deductive-analytical method that presents the structures raised from the Colombian officialdom, demonstrating that they are creating spaces and regulation for the sector, which
has allowed the scaling and development of new business models, but not of internationalization processes. As a result, the process of internationalization for the cultural sector may include the economic perspective, the process perspective and those referring to SMEs, such as a conglomerate, demonstrating that cooperation between creative industry segments and government representatives should be established.
