Future Scenarios of Nature Tourism in the department of Quindío, Colombia
Abstract
Tourism in Quindío has represented an alternative for employment and income generation during the last two decades; however, despite the efforts made by social actors, there is a lack of synergy for its strengthening and contribution to local socioeconomic development; in addition, with the Covid-19 pandemic, this sector was strongly affected and recovered slowly. The study seeks to identify future scenarios of nature tourism in the department of Quindío; this research is of a correlational, exploratory and descriptive type, the methodology is qualitative and quantitative, workshops were held with representatives of the university, business, state and society. The strategic prospective methods used were structural analysis, morphological analysis, Schwartz axes, Regnier's abacus, cross impact matrix system, and importance and governance, finally, future scenarios were identified, choosing the most pertinent and proposing strategies to achieve it.
