Síntomas de Depresión asociados al Síndrome de Burnout y a condiciones socio-laborales de Docentes de Colegios Públicos de Envigado-Colombia.

El objetivo del estudio fue evaluar los síntomas de depresión en docentes de colegios públicos del municipio de Envigado-Colombia y su asociación con el síndrome de burnout y las condiciones socio-laborales. Participaron un total de 194 docentes seleccionados mediante un muestreo probabilístico estratificado proporcionado. Se usaron los instrumentos SCL-90-R para evaluar los síntomas de depresión, el cuestionario Maslach para Burnout, y una encuesta sociodemográfica. Los resultados muestran que, 65,8% de los docentes presentan síntomas de depresión, y, en el modelo multivariado se identificó que la dimensión del síndrome de burnout agotamiento emocional incrementa los síntomas de depresión en los docentes (OR=4,0, IC=1,67-9,58). El estudio concluye que la depresión es de alta prevalencia en la población docente.References
