Prophecy Belief in the World Final in 2012, Mood and Magical Thinking
Abstract
This research aims to: describe the apocalyptic beliefs support for 2012 also predict believe or not coddle and conviction in such positioning. , Perceived Stress Scale (PSS-14, Cohen, Kamarck & Mermelstein, 1983) subscales trait anxiety; questions on sociodemographics and belief in prophecy, Scale of Magical Thinking (Moral, 2009 EPM-24) were applied (STAI-T, Spielberger & Diaz-Guerrero, 1975) and Beck Depression Inventory Revised (BDI-II, Beck, Steer & Brown, 1996) to a quota sample of 424 participants of sex. Non-believers in the prophecies of 2012 dominated percentage also reported more conviction in his positioning believers.
