Abstract

The point is to make explicit Heidegger’s thesis that thought wonders through paths neighbouring those of poetry. In order to develop this thesis Heidegger makes use of Stefan George’s poem, The Word, which shows, according to Heidegger, that the expression of a poetic experience through words brings us close to an imminent experience of thought with speech.
