Dialectics and Uncertainty in the Writing of Hélène Cixous

This work reflects on the construction of the dialectical epistemological discourse in the essays “Sorties” (1975), “Le Rire de la Méduse” (1975), and La Venue à l’écriture (1977) by Hélène Cixous, with the aim of understanding the relationship the author proposes between the body and writing. To this end, it analyzes how Cixous challenges the phallocentric construction of the feminine in philosophy and literature—a critique that emerges through the recovery of female figures—mythological, literary, and historical—that allow her to establish a genealogy capable of opposing the patriarchal and metaphysical structures of knowledge. Finally, this research critically approaches her work to reclaim her reflections on the body, phallocentrism, metaphysics, and desire, thereby yielding an understanding of writing as a language of uncertainty.
