Abstract
The article aims to give an overview of the Brazilian foreign policy through its objectives, principles and, concepts, along with highlighting the importance of diplomacy. It also explores the regional policy of Brazil and its bilateral relationship with the United States, until the period of post-Cold War under President Fernando Henrique Cardoso.
