Clean Development Mechanism. A weakness turned into opportunity.

Abstract

This article aims at illustrating and refleeting about some productive chains that can profit the
opportunities provided by Clean Development Mechanism (CDM). Initially, it describes the particular
conditions to implement CDM as a mechanism of additional financing for enterprises. Later
on, general action lines used to counteract climatic changes are determined. Finally, the article ends
with a reflextion about productive chains which have the potentiality to play a preponderant role in
applying CDM projects. At the same time, it aims at clarifying the process of how weaknesses present
in deficient productive processes can be converted into business opportunities and additional incomings
through procedures of mitigation of climatic change.
