Research aspects that support knowledge management in organizations: relations between the style and tools used

Abstract

Knowledge management consists an emerging subject, relevant tothe organizational context, especially those organizations that envisionmaintenance, growth, competitiveness and innovation The objective ofthis study was to determine which tools are used to support each stepof the process of knowledge management in organizations relating asmanagement style. The method of research used a multi-case study, aqualitative approach, where the data was collected through direct observation,document analysis and semi-structured interviews with eightrespondents in four organizations working in software development. Asa result the study finds that innovative tools to bring to light practicesused by organizations, that allow the maximum possible utilization ofknowledge relevant to the internal context of the organization.
