Abstract

In the Age of Knowledge, Knowledge Management (KM) has become avaluable asset for companies and individuals, so that it corresponds to aprocess of creation, generation, use, dissemination, transmission and sharingof knowledge that the cycle based on Nonaka and Takeuchi, can bestudied in the characterization and measurement of the development ofKM in 76 research groups from Universidad Pedagogica y Tecnologica deColombia (UPTC), likewise presents a statistical modeling that concludedwith a mathematical equation of the linear regression. With relevance tothe methodology, the type of study corresponded to descriptive statisticaltreatment was the principal component factor analysis that showed how themethod of recruitment and the number of members of the group affect thedependent variable research productivity.
