Abstract

The influence of Nietzsche’s philosophy and the assumption of “the death of God” as a departure point in the contemporary philosophy disables the maintenance and development of the moral theory, understanding this one as a set of judgments that express a valuation
of goodness or badness in an absolute way. As opposed to this perspective, a renewal of ethics, understood in an ampler sense than the moral conception, imposes. This paper analyzes the causes of the exhaustion of the moral discussion and presents the new perspective that is offered in ethics.
