Abstract

The main challenge for panpsychism is the combination problem. Among the numerous attempts at a solution, the phenomenal bonding project stands out. Being relatively new, there are still details to be clarified, such as the nature of this relation. It has been suggested that the phenomenal bonding relation could be identified with the co-consciousness relation. Accordingly, the purpose of this research is to conduct a critical evaluation of this identification in order to discard it. On the other hand, in a more speculative tone, I will address some implications of this critical evaluation.
