Abstract

This article deals with the impact of German trade in the economy of the Marabina region, traditionally characterized by agro exportation. After the Independence and the creation of the Republic of 1830, Venezuelan regional economies continued with agro exportation activity stimulated by the growing world demand in the circuits of the Coffee Association of La Guaira, Maracaibo and Puerto Cabello. Coffee demand kicked off a stage of free trade expansion and consolidation of the agro-export Venezuela that joined the Venezuela immersed in the oil industry at the beginning of the 20th century. This essay develops the impact generated by the importance of the generational encounter of traditional agricultural development in the Marabina region and the new impetus which claimed the commercial activity towards European and North American markets. Methodologically, we will address the issue taking into consideration the sources consulted in the bibliographic and documentary archives and abroad.
